IEP & 504 Plan Consultation

  • I help parents understand their child’s rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

    • Review existing IEPs or 504 Plans to assess their effectiveness.

    • Identify necessary accommodations, modifications, and services.

    • Help parents prepare for school meetings and evaluations.

School Advocacy & Meeting Support

  • Navigating school systems can be overwhelming. Together, we will:

    • Attend IEP and 504 meetings to ensure your child’s needs are met.

    • Communicate with school staff to create appropriate accommodations for TS-related challenges.

    • Provide strategies for self-advocacy so students feel empowered in their learning environment.

Accommodations & Behavioral Support Planning

  • Students with TS may struggle with focus, impulsivity, anxiety, or social interactions. We develop tailored behavioral support strategies that can be incorporated into a 504 Plan or IEP, such as:

    • Classroom accommodations (e.g., movement breaks, testing modifications).

    • Positive behavioral interventions to support emotional regulation.

    • Teacher training recommendations to promote awareness and reduce stigma.

The estimated time spent reviewing records depends on the complexity of the case. You will be given a reasonable estimate of how much time will be spent developing your child’s plan before establishing services.

In-person Meetings/Observations

My services draw on specialized skills and expertise, along with any necessary travel, to ensure I provide personalized, practical support during a process that can significantly impact your child's academic outcomes.
